SPIRAL and ARTISTS FROM MANY CULTURES

~featuring ‘Bixler 225’ - Sarah Elise Thompson

FREE EVENT

An after work wind-down: The hypnotic flow of new music sensation, SPIRAL, in the company of many enthralling Festival artists.

On the banks of the Parramatta River, this concert event showcases SPIRAL, Sydney’s latest new music sensation, in collaboration with culturally diverse artists from Western Sydney.

Borrowing from the minimalist tradition of Philip Glass, the program features compositions for flute, saxophone, synthesiser, electronic piano, guitar, double bass and electric bass, inspired by the perpetual motion of the river. Their hypnotic, cyclical music aims to bring the audience into "a trance-like state, leading us out of our bodies, and swirling into a higher consciousness."
