Sideband's first concert for 2017 will feature 2 new works receiving their world premiere, including Sarah Elise Thompson's The Music Box commissioned by Sideband for Vibraphone and electronics, and Peter McNamara's Transfigured Continent for indeterminate ensemble and film. Aristea Mellos' work Seasonal Flocking for soprano and percussion will receive it's Australian premiere, and the concert will also feature the solo works Solace by Tristan Coelho and Cadenza II by Peter McNamara.
